Building a Dream, One Tattoo at a Time

Every great story starts with a single step.
For me, that step was deciding to stop dreaming about becoming a tattoo artist and actually begin. Velvet Grave Tattoo Studio wasn't built overnight. It wasn't handed to me, and it certainly wasn't perfect from day one. It was built on late nights, constant practice, determination, and the belief that if I kept showing up, I would continue to grow.
When people think about tattoo artists, they often picture someone who has been doing it for decades. My journey looks different, and I'm proud of that.
I'm still learning.
I'm still growing.
I'm still finding my style.
Every tattoo I create teaches me something new, and every client who trusts me becomes part of that journey. I don't claim to know everything, but I promise to approach every piece with honesty, patience, and the desire to give it my absolute best.
One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that progress matters more than perfection.
There will always be challenges. There will always be moments of self-doubt. Starting a business means wearing many hats. Some days I'm the artist, the receptionist, the photographer, the website designer, the social media manager, and the person sweeping the floors before locking up for the night. It's a lot, but every task brings me one step closer to the vision I've had for Velvet Grave.
My sobriety has also played a huge role in this journey.
Recovery taught me discipline, accountability, and how to keep moving forward even when things feel difficult. Those same lessons guide me every day as I continue building this studio. They remind me that meaningful growth doesn't happen overnight. It happens through consistency, patience, and refusing to give up.
Velvet Grave is more than a tattoo studio. It's a place where people can express themselves, honor memories, celebrate milestones, and wear their stories with pride. Tattoos have the power to mark life's most important moments, and being trusted with those moments is something I'll never take for granted.
As this studio grows, so will I. I'll continue learning, improving my craft, exploring new techniques, and creating artwork that reflects both my passion and the stories my clients bring through the door.
To everyone who has supported me by booking an appointment, sharing my work, buying merchandise, or simply encouraging me along the way, thank you. Every kind word, every recommendation, and every opportunity means more than you know.
Velvet Grave is still in its beginning chapters, but I'm excited for what's ahead.
This isn't just about building a business.
It's about building a legacy.
One tattoo at a time.
Ink Your Legacy.
